Description: The Lewis and Clark Cabin is named after the famous Corps of Discovery. The Vermillion Ranch hosted the Lewis and Clark Expedition as Clark moved his way down the Yellowstone River in July of 1806. Clark spent a day watering his horses at the mouth of Sweetgrass Creek and remarked on the abundance of wildlife in the area. Built in the 1870’s, the Lewis and Clark cabin has been fully restored with your comfort in mind and furnished with a certain western charm which beckons you to relax. A large sunny deck draws you out to the surroundings. As you walk from the cabin, you will see the Crazy Mountains, the Absaroka Mountains, and the Yellowstone River valley. The Lewis and Clark cabin consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen and living room. Each room has been furnished to make you feel at home and offers all the amenities for a comfortable Montana vacation. Amenities Bedrooms: 1 bedroom on main floor with queen bed and full bath; upstairs loft has 2 single beds with small sitting area and table. Living room: comfortable seating with a wood burning stove for warmth. Living room also has a phone, small stereo and TV/VCR. Kitchen: clean and efficient with an electric range and oven. Dishes, cookware and utensils are furnished. Sunny eating area seats 8 comfortably. There is also a gas grill on the deck for outdoor cooking.
